The
Brewery Arts and Community Centre, based in the former Whitewells
Brewery, Kendal, was first opened in 1972 and comprises two new
cinema screens with 192 and 115 seats respectively, a 350 seat
Malt Room for music events, a Photographic Gallery, the Warehouse
Gallery for visual arts, a drama studio, art and crafts workshops,
darkroom facilities, playgroup and meeting rooms, restaurant,
Vats Bar, and an enlarged theatre seating 250. A lift makes all
floors fully accessible.
Getting to Kendal from the Lancaster and Morecambe area is easy:
either by the M6 or A6 by car or bus, or by train.
Those travelling to events by public transport in Kendal should
know that you may have to book overnight accommodation, depending
on the finish time. Kendal Tourist Information offers an advance
